As part of our consulting approach, we utilize a variety of problem-solving techniques and tools to: identify the current state and improvement opportunities, design solutions and decision models, and implement change alongside our clients. The approach allows for innovative solutions within a tight framework that has provided our clients and their stakeholders with sustainable results.
Typical Consulting Process
PHASE 1 – ANALYSIS/DIAGNOSTIC
PHASE 2 – IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
PHASE 3 – AUDIT PROGRAM
Our process consists three phases. The 1st phase is to understand the issue/s within the area/s of scope which is typically accomplished via a front-end diagnostic. The 2nd phase is to engage in an implementation project (varies in size and scope depending on diagnostic results) designed to fix the issues identified in phase 1. The final and 3rd phase is to engage in an audit program designed to ensure that the changes developed in the implementation project are embedded.
PHASE 1 – DIAGNOSTIC
Operations Improvement Inc.’s process begins with a comprehensive diagnostic. Our diagnostic is designed to study the business processes within the organization. These can be either identified in advance by our clients or uncovered by our team during the diagnostic.
We will value the gap/s that we uncover and at the end of our diagnostic and present to you the financial value associated with fixing the problems.
PHASE 2 – IMPLEMENTATION
Our implementation work can vary from a smaller set of tactical tasks to an all-encompassing improvement program/project. In either initiative the implementation plan is specifically designed for your unique situation. We rely on our in-house expertise and where appropriate have access to a wide network of subject matter experts to deliver the results that we have planned together.
Our typical staff member has both industry and management consulting experience. Our approach is collaborative and implementation focused.
Our achievement of the financial results is a key indicator to the success of the engagement. Another key success factor in our improvement programs is to transform the culture to one of innovation and learning.
PHASE 3 – AUDIT PROGRAM
We utilize what we call a client coordinator on all of our projects. The coordinator is responsible for performing regular audits, however we recommend that our clients engage us to do post implementation audits to ensure the changes have been embraced.
Quantifiable Benefits
With our implementation consulting projects, we assign quantifiable benefits in the form of a 3 to 1 return on your investment (ROI). This we know is unique for consulting projects. In addition, we look to offset our consulting fees by aligning your project with applicable government funding. This when applied allows for an even more attractive ROI.
